A wet dog food making machine is a closed-loop system integrating raw material processing, wet extrusion, shaping, sterilization, and filling. Unlike dry processing equipment, its core feature is the addition of 10%-20% moisture to the raw materials during production. This, combined with a wet extruder, produces high-moisture, soft, and easy-to-chew wet pet food suitable for daily feeding of companion pets such as cats and dogs, especially suitable for puppies, senior pets, and pets with sensitive stomachs.
Working Principle: The wet dog food pellet machine manages the entire process.
Pre-treated raw materials (meat meal, grains, vitamins, etc.) enter the equipment and are first mixed with a measured amount of water until homogeneous. Then, they are fed into a wet extruder, where twin-screw shearing friction and low-temperature steam heating complete the gelatinization and slight extrusion of the raw materials at 80-100℃ and 2-4MPa, ensuring pellet formation while avoiding high-temperature damage to nutrients. After extrusion, the pellets are shaped by a forming machine and then sterilized at low temperature (70-80℃) to retain active ingredients. Finally, they are filled and sealed to complete the production of wet pet food.

The wet pet food extruder machine is the core of the equipment. Compared to dry extruders, it has superior sealing performance, preventing operational malfunctions caused by moisture leakage; it has higher temperature control precision, maintaining a stable low temperature range of 80-100℃, reducing the loss of heat-sensitive nutrients (vitamins, probiotics); it is also equipped with a dedicated moisture control system, which can precisely match the water ratio and extrusion pressure according to the moisture requirements of pet food, ensuring that the finished product meets the moisture standards and has a stable structure.
